Two ways to cook and enjoy Argentinian Empanadas
1- Spray cooking oil on a baking sheet and arrange the empanadas
2- Lightly brush the empanadas with the egg yolk to give them a nice golden glow when they bake. (Optional)
3- Pre-heat the oven to 400 F
4- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, until golden
5- Allow to cool briefly before serving.
6- Serve and enjoy!
1- Heat oil in a deep fryer to 350 F.
2- Fry the empanadas until golden brown turning over if necessary for about 7-9 minutes.
3- Remove and transfer the empanadas to a towel-lined plate to remove the excess of oil
4- Repeat the process with the remaining empanadas.
5- Serve and enjoy!
Note: If you purchased frozen empanadas, make sure you defrost (Naturally, not microwave) them one hour approximately before cooking
